It becomes addicting once you win from the giveaway you joined in. I participated a lot of the giveaways and honestly most of it I don’t enter all the points and fortunately I’ve won the 5th times now. Once we get a hang of wining, we become more determined to join more giveaways. Who knows we might be the lucky winner right? Anyway, here’s another prize I’ve won recently, it’s a goodies from New Man’s Organic products. It comes with chocolate bars, pretzels, popcorn, cookies and raisins. These are all organic goodies, which means healthy snacks. I’ve tried some of it and the rest were given to our friends and family. Thanks to kurdapya for hosting the giveaway and for giving me a chance to win.
The disadvantage of having or owning a wireless keyboard and wireless mouse is that I constantly have to change batteries to it and it can be so expensive. Like me for instance, I’m often in the computer for a long period of hours and its not even weeks of using the same batteries and all of a sudden I get messages in my computer saying “mouse lost it’s connection”, which simply mean that I have to replace new batteries. Ugh! The next time I go to the store, I’ll have to purchase rechargeable batteries that way I’ll just recharge it if the batteries are low.
I think the photo speaks for itself. Well, our former neighbor, before he left his apartment and moved to Texas, he gave away most of his kitchen stuff and food because according to him he can always buy whatever he needs in Texas. He wont be able to bring them anymore because it’s too much to carry and they only have a pick-up truck to go with them. So, one of the stuff he gave us is this gelatin vanilla in flavor. Husband used it to make a vanilla parfait. It was yummy and I always snacked the whole glass. Hehehehe, I almost forget to share to my kids. Toink! Thats how delicious these were.
I just had my lunch a few minutes ago (3:40pm San Diego time zone) and the above photo is what I ate. I had left over fried dried fish from last night and I have fresh made rice. I complimented it with some ripe mango, surely filled and satisfied my hungry tummy. I was to occupied blog hopping and I didn’t even realize the time, it went by so quickly. Whew!
I’ve been to Hollywood several times already and still I don’t get tired from going back there every now and then because there’s a lot to see in the street of the “Walk of Fame”. There are thousands of tourists in the streets walking and taking pictures of the many icons in the movie industry every single day. Impersonators are everywhere and taking pictures with them is their living. If you want to take a picture with them, you must have dollar bills in your pockets otherwise they won’t look at you and you will totally be ignored by them.
The photos below were taken a few years ago, this was actually our first time to visit Hollywood. We wen’t for a road-trip heading to San Francisco at the time when we’ve decided to stop here for a night and explore the most popular destination in Los Angeles “Hollywood famous sign and the Walk of Fame”
Below were the impersonators…
a.k.a Miley Cyrus
a.k.a Michael Jackson
They do dress up like their idols and act like one. They’re very impressive. If you happen to be in LA, you must stop and see these place. Fun, fun, fun!
Before anything else, I just want to say thank you to all members of the 366 BPC (Blog Photo Challenge) especially to Jessica for allowing me and giving me her approval to host the 366 BPC for the month of July, Mel for the generous act of letting me use her linkz account and Rcel for recommending me to host in behalf of Mommy Jess. And of course to all the loyal members of this meme for the support and warm welcoming they have given me, thanks a lot.
(Left to Right is from youngest to eldest) Yep, My hubby is the eldest in the Family.Anyway, the photos that I am going to share with you is this precious memory that we had when my MIL first met her grandson. We missed her so much; she passed a few years ago. My children never really spent time with her when she was still alive because she was so sick at the time and was living at the homecare facility if not in the ICU. We visited her quite a few times before her passing and we were so happy that somehow she was able to meet our daughter before she died. We had hoped that she’ll live because she was a fighter, there were many instances were we thought she won’t live and fought death for the longest time. Through her illnesses my husband’s siblings were able to get-together and reunited for the very first time since they were all separated at the age of 7. I was happy to meet them all; they came all the way to San Diego to see their biological parent and at the same time personally met their siblings. I couldn’t be happier seeing them together and visited their mom at the hospital together.
It’s funny because I do love to buy stuff from the garage sale and now I’m doing a garage sale of my own. I used to send all my children’s outgrown clothes to the Philippines because I know someone could use it, but recently I told my family in the Philippines that I won’t be sending used clothes anymore because it’s costly. The freight and all that, it’s too much already. And besides they still have lots of baby/kids clothes from the last boxes I sent them. Anyhow, I will be having my first garage sale tomorrow and this is going to be fun for sure. Well see how it goes and hopefully I’ll make $100 out of these items. I have nice dresses and outfits that my daughter had outgrown, as well boy’s clothes from my son, gently worn blankets and two bags filled with footwear. Whatever items left I’ll probably donate them to goodwill. Somehow, someone might be able to use it.
I felt guilty for not cooking for my family lately. Because I’m too busy doing my online work, I don’t get to prepare the home style cooking anymore. Even though my husband takes charge in the kitchen most of the time, but recently he get tired of cooking as well. So then we buy our meals from different restaurants each day, which is costly. Tonight I decided to make some dinner. I didn’t have the car so I can’t go anywhere to get the ingredients needed for my cooking. Since we have a box of penne pasta and ground beef, I searched online for a simple recipe and the above photo is what I made for dinner tonight. It’s yummy and tasty. My children loved it. My husband works for swing shift and he’s not home yet, I can’t wait for him to try it. Happy PBC!
It is good to have a motorcycle nowadays for it is easy to go anywhere you like especially with your sweetheart riding at the back. In all honesty, my husband wants to have a motorbike and I thought it’s cool to have one. Though we can’t afford to get one now, hopefully in the future we can. My husband and I are fascinated with those kinds of bike with big size motorcycle tires for it is one of the best factors that others can appreciate. I love it because, when I was young, I used to dream about driving a motorcycle. It is my frustrations to drive on a vehicle like that you know. I can’t wait to see myself riding on a big motorbike with my husband someday.
