A freeway named as Filipino-American Highway, that’s because majority of the residents and bussiness in the area are pretty much owned by Filipinos.

Below are some of the Filipino stores we usually go to get our Filipino stuff and that include Filipino food and groceries, as well as the popular restaurants like Goldilocks, Jollibee, Chowking, Bakeries and etc… We also have a lot of little stores called sari-sari in the neighborhood but I rarely go to that stores because they only accept cash and I am the type of person who would rather pay through cards than cash. I got used to not having cash in my wallets, which gradually made me dislike the odor of it too. That’s one of the reasons why I don’t like to hold cash anymore.

 I’ve been in this store a couple of times. This was the first Seafood City in San Diego. Filipino businesses were surrounded by this shopping center.

this store is where I usually buy all the Filipino goodies, it’s 5-7 minutes away from our location. Everything is inside, you name it, they may have it. Jollibee, Goldilocks, Chowking, Red Ribbon, Bakeries, Cargo shipping, Lhullier, Banks and etc… Turo2x are next to this building as well, a little further to the right.These are definitely my COMFORT ZONE!!!

My purchased today!

So, I had my FREE panty from Victoria Secret and I went to the store today. Every time I go to this store, I ended-up buying other stuff that I shouldn’t get. Their goodies are so tempting and I can’t help myself but to get some beauty products too. Since I’m collecting VS beauty products for my family in the Philippines, I bought 5pcs mixed beauty products for $30 and other pink stuff, hand lotion and a mist. I got those lip-gloss for $1.75 each, I saved 75% 0ff. I also got 2 FREE pink puppies because I bought a PINK products. Well, at first I only got one FREE dog but when my son saw it and I gave it to my daughter, he was very unhappy. So, I had to go back into the store to buy another PINK product to avail another FREE dog. Now, they have one of each. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to avail the FREE VS beach-bag they were all sold out. We left the store satisfied and I’m happy because I have more VS goodies that I am going to give to my family and relatives in the Philippines when we go back home early of next year.

Like many of you out there, I also do like shopping from the garage selling merchandize. A few days ago while doing our door-to-door witnessing, I went by to a house that had garage sale and I stopped just to check what they have. I found this great looking brand-name purse (NY) for $3 and the tag was still there, we’ll without a second thought I grabbed and paid for it. The lady said she bought it for $40 and never use it (I guess she has all kinds of purse and wants to get rid of it)… I put it in the box for my family back home in the Philippines. I also found another one that I like, a jacket for my daughter; I paid $1 for it. Thought it’s still a little bit bigger for her, I’ll just keep it until it’ll fit her. I started collecting goodies because I will be taking a 3 weeks vacation to see my family in PI early of next yr (2013). Anyway, times are getting tough these days and we have to be a smart buyer to get a better deal. I don’t care buying second-hand stuff for as long as it’s brand-new if not gently worn.

For my little girl

I am looking at these luxury kids bedding online and I am specifically eyeing at this mermaid theme beddings, I think it’s perfect for my little girl. Ever since she had seen the character Ariel of the Disney little mermaid at theDisneyland, she started liking mermaids stuff. I thought getting her mermaid beddings will be a cool thing. Well, her old beddings needs to be replace replaced anyway, might as well get this one (photo above). I like it because it’s so girly and the pillows are so cute with the two beady mermaid divas, which fits my daughter’s preference.

My mother-in-law passed away early of this year and she has a lot of stuff stored in a rented storage room. My sister-in-law decided to sell her stuff but before she did, it was so nice of her to call us and told us to take anything we want before she’ll put it on garage sale. We took some stuff like several stuff toys for her grandchildren, brand new comforter with pillows, some kitchenware, furniture and shoes (2 sexy sandals, boots, 2 pairs of tennis shoes and for casual shoes) some of it fits me but the rest wont, plus size bras and as well as electronics. They’re all brand new still in the box. My mother-in-law loves to buy things that she don’t even wear or need. She just loves shopping. We also got her computer desktop and just reformat the drive so we won’t see any of her files or records.

I am going to send the rest of the shoes to my family back home. They’ll fit the shoes for sure. She also has purchased that were still in the box, they weren’t open yet. We didn’t take them though because we thought we don’t need it anyway. I don’t want to take some stuff out of greediness. Why would I take stuff that I know we don’t have anything to use it for? I am so happy with the shoes I got from her because that will save me a lot of money. I don’t need to buy shoes for now.

>OK! Here are the items I bought at the JC Penny store today. They have a lot of clearance sales and I shopped at their store twice this week already. The first purchased I had I spent less than a dollar (0.88 cents) and saved $127.18. Today, my total purchased was $50 something and with my $30 coupons, I paid $20 something and saved $212.00. The items above were my recent purchased. I love shopping at the JCP store because they consistently send me big coupons. If I don’t have any coupons, I don’t think I’ll purchase anything from that store because they’re expensive most of the time.
