Yesterday I went to the Filipino store to buy some fresh baked bread, while I was there I thought of buying some ingredients for my monggo beans. I was cold yesterday and was having an appetite for some comfort food. Since it was cold, I though soup would be perfect. I gathered all the ingredients and prepared them as soon as I got home. I cook the monggo beans with belly pork, sweet chili, sayote or chayote, spinach, mushroom with some spice. My husband was still sleeping when I got home and by the time he woke up, my cooking was already done. He was so happy when he saw me making his favorite soup. He loves it and so far everyone loves it. I ate with my left over dried fish. It was yummy and I ate a lot. Lunch was scrumptious indeed.
