>When I don’t have anything to do, I usually read some spiritual publications like watchtower, awake and brochures. Yesterday while putting my son to sleep, I grabbed the awake magazine and the story of Sandra who suffered from skin disorder caught my attention. I was reading her article entitled “Can’t I Do Something About My Acne?” under the young people ask section. Sandra had a bad case of acne while she was still in high school and most of her classmates teased her and called her names like ‘HEY, “crater face”!’ ‘Hey, “pizza face”!’. What unkind words and mean classmates she had. She said that she did all she could to fix the problem by applying some acne treatments but it just wouldn’t work, fortunately as she got older her acne went away by itself. Her situation reminds me of my former high school friend who went through the same embarrassment like she did and we always gave her comfort and advice that there is much more to life than personal appearances which would somehow make her feel good inside. It’s really not good to judge the book by its cover.
