Why & where to buy a domain name?

Some newbies have asked me the same question! Well based from my own experience the reason why i bought a domain is because most of the advertisers would require that the blog must be owned or they may say exclude sub-domain. Sub-domains are those FREE hosting. So it's really to your advantage to buy your own domain name in order for you to get more opportunities. If you signed up for Blogger/blogspot you can actually buy it from there. All you have to do is go to your settings then click the tab "Publishing" under the settings. You will see custom domain then click it, afterwards you can choose any domain name you want, then type it into the box below which says "blogspot address". What ever name you will write that will become your permanent blog URL. Normally it would cost you a $10 subscription fee per year. You can pay for it through paypal, debit or credit card. It is recommended to buy a domain in your new blog because if you will not do that your Alexa and Technocrati number will go back up which means you have to work hard getting traffic again so the number will decrease. You can also buy a domain at Godaddy.com because i bought one from them.
