Colorful marine life

Taken from then Nature Center's aquarium

Hopefully he's better now

I know a friend whose husband suffered from spinal injury. He hasn’t been working for years now because of that reason. He used to work in a company that requires too much strength and lifting heavy stuff which I believed causes the spine to be injured. As I was told that he tried everything to gain back his strength so he can get back to his old self again but he was suggested by his doctor to rest because his condition is fragile if he goes back to his previous job. I’m not sure whether he needs to have laser spine surgery or not, as far as I know, he’s taking all his medication and doing some therapy at the moment. It’s really hard to see our loved ones suffer from any kinds of pain and especially when we feel so helpless when they’re in pain or something like that. I know I’ve been through it when my husband was sick as well. It’s really hard. I just wish all the best for my friend and her family.

In need of a new desktop compter

Many of my friends online were hooked to this certain website where they sell all kinds of products from clothing to electronics and the prices were insanely unbeatable. They offer the best netbooks and my husband was actually drooling at it. He was telling me if I want to get another netbook and I told him, I might need another computer but it won’t be a netbook, I would like to replace my desktop computer because the one that I’m using right now is really acting up and it won’t be long it’ll give up on me. Hopefully, he’ll hear my pleas because I really need a new desktop computer, like right now! Anyway, I hope he'll check on that website soon.

Craving for this

Grilled stuffed fish and seaweed ceviche

My former college friend tagged me this photo a few weeks ago and I was just drooling at it. I remember I have these kinds of food whenever we have get-together at the beach. I miss this food a lot, seafood is the best and they are healthier than any other meat I eat. She was making me jealous because she knew that I was craving for this at the time. I told her whenever I go back home and we see each other again, she had to make sure that she’ll prepare this for me and of course I get a “YES” answer. Isn’t it look so yummy?

Son received one

Before my son had his Christmas vacation, one of his classmates handed a personalized christmas gifts for girls and boys, son received one. It was cute because it was personalized and the effort was there. My son said that his classmate made those gifts. I guess she was the only child in the classroom who came up with those ideas because so far she was the only one who gave gifts to the classroom. We don’t really participate in Holidays and we respect people who celebrate Christmas because it’s part of their traditional belief. Well, all I can say is that she is so thoughtful and generous to everyone which is excellent.

Tennis Tournaments

Written by my friend Betty Walls

My husband loves tennis. He loves playing it, watching it, and even started helping coach it at the high school near our house. All of the big tennis tournaments start at the beginning of each year and our cable company did not carry The Tennis Channel. My husband would have to watch the tournaments at someone else’s house, or just find the results of the matches online. He realized that DIRECT tv is available in our area and the packages include the Tennis Channel. He called and cancelled our cable the next day and had DIRECT tv set up. He has been in such a great mood lately because he knows he will not have to miss any of the tennis tournaments. It is funny how the small things in life can make him so happy. The tennis season has not even officially started and he is already planning to have “tennis parties” with his friends. I never knew that there were other people who were as obsessed with tennis as he is, but apparently there are enough people to have a party.

@ the turo-turo restaurant

My comfort foods
That’s one of the good things about me living here in San Diego because I have every access of much Filipino stuff, whether if it’s from food to restaurants, I can have them whenever I crave for it. I do cook Filipino food sometimes and if not I can just go to the restaurant (turo2x) and order what food I feel like eating. I am so thankful that my husband lives in a place where there are many Filipino stores and restaurants nearby because I can’t imagine how homesick I would feel if my husbands lives somewhere out there and not where we’re at right now. I am just so thankful and hopefully we don’t have to leave this place because I love it here.

House for rent

My husband and I had been planning to move into a house. We choose to rent a house if we decide on moving out of our apartment. This is definitely not our dream house but for the meantime while I’m unemployed, renting a house is perfectly fine for us. As soon as I get a job and my husband is still working, that’s probably the best time for us to hunt for our dream house. For now, we settled renting rather than owning because it can cost a lot of money to own one. Anyway, we checked this house yesterday afternoon.

This house is owned by a brother-in-faith and they asked us if we want to rent it. It's a 4 bedroom house with 2 bathrooms. We like the place but we didn’t like the ceiling, it looks dirty. They painted the walls with bright white which made the ceiling look more untidy. I love the kitchen though. They installed new mosaic tile on the floor and glass tiles counter top by the sink. I really think that adding some nice glass mosaic tile or glass tile in the kitchen beautifies the home even more. What I really love about this house is the nice backyard and the master’s bedroom. The masters bedroom has two closets and a bathroom which is what I really want. Well, this is not our house that’s for sure.
